The Marion County Clerk's Office was burned during Morgan’s Raid on July 5, 1863, but apparenlty the courthouse was spared. A courthouse buidling, shown here, was constructed in 1935, but has since been replaced with newer building. Courtesy of the Kentucky Historical Society.
