This 1854 LeFaucheux pinfire presentation pistol most likely belonged to William W. Ward, a Confederate colonel assigned to Morgan's Brigade of Kentucky Cavalry, commanded by Brig. Gen. B. W. Duke. Ward was captured in May 1865. Courtesy of Kentucky Historical Society.
