This Twitty's (sometimes spelled Twetty) Fort marker was placed by the Boonesborough Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in 1937. It commemorates a Native American attack on the road-cutting party of Daniel Boone while opening Boone Trace in the spring of 1775. Capt.
