Ambrose Dudley was one of the founding members of Silas Baptist Church. After service in the Revolutionary War he became a preacher, moved to Kentucky in 1785, and settled near Bryan's Station. He was part of the Great Revival that saw large outdoor camp meetings like that at Cane Ridge in Bourbon County. Courtesy of Hopewell Museum.
